Dr Mujtaba Tahir - Clearstep Practitioner of the Month, January 2012

Dr Mujtaba Tahir, Clearstep Ambassador and 2012’s first Clearstep Practitioner of the Month began using the Clearstep System in June 2011. In this short space of time Dr Tahir has rapidly developed his status as one of the elite Clearstep providers resulting in Dr Tahir becoming one of the select few Clearstep ambassadors. Since becoming an Ambassador for Clearstep late 2011, Dr Tahir has been working hard to promote Clearstep in his practice and has been offering ‘invisible’, effective and fast treatment to all his patients at every opportunity. Through his hard work Dr Tahir is now seeing the benefits that Clearstep brings to his practice and this is why we are proud to have Dr Tahir as an advocate for Clearstep.

Having recently attended one of our advanced training courses in using Sectional Fixed Appliances, Dr Tahir can now treat a wide range of cases and accommodate all levels of severities allowing him to offer Clearstep treatment to a wider market within the Derby area; he had the following to say about the two day sectional fixed course.  

“I enjoyed the course and learned a vast amount of new knowledge regarding fixed braces knowing it was a very small group catering for each individual regardless of their previous level of expertise in the subject.  Furthermore, to see like-minded people using Clearstep and to hear their views or opinions of how to improve on certain aspects of diagnostics and treatment was very reassuring.

I am now more confident to accept any level of case difficulty even prior to the diagnostic stage where I initially used to be reluctant to even mention Clearstep and the stages involved, being cautious that I may have to refer if it required sectional fixed appliances with any extraction for instance.”

Our Sectional Fixed Appliances course is not just available to current practitioners, Clearstep have of late introduced a new course format which will permit new practitioners to become accredited and be fully trained in sectional fixed all within one course - ‘The Clearstep Simplicity Course’.

With Clearstep’s brand new ‘Simplicity’ accreditation training, practitioners can learn the fundamentals of our system and the processes as well as how to incorporate Sectional Fixed Appliances into a patient’s treatment in a single 3 day course. Attendees will come out of the course fully equipped to start offering ‘invisible’ orthodontic solutions to their patients.

Dr Tahir is now a regular user of our system and in recent months he has increased the amount of Clearstep cases treated. We asked Dr Tahir why he believes his patients are choosing Clearstep over traditional orthodontic treatment, which he answered.

 “When reassuring patients of the pros and cons of the appliances in comparison to fixed or other aligner appliances, it is relatively easy to emphasise the value of Clearstep thus achieve an increase in uptake of the treatment.”
