Sun, Sand and Smiles

Holidays are always something to look forward to, for the image conscious they can be the most exciting as well as the most stressful times of the year. Feeling good about how you look on holiday can boost your confidence and allow you to enjoy the sun rather than hideaway in the hotel room.
A few image problems people have before a holiday can be easily solved.  Some will buy new clothes, get a new hair style and others may even decide that they need to lose weight. On the other hand different issues are not as simple to fix. Many are now looking to achieve their perfect holiday smile but are unsure about how to go about it. New clothes and a new style mean little if you are unable to smile with confidence for your photos.
One of the main reasons for leaving orthodontic issues untreated is the prospect of having to wear fixed braces and holiday photos are a prime example of why patients do not want to have them. They want the fantastic end result but are unwilling to compromise their appearance during treatment. Clearstep resolves this problem entirely.
Using ‘invisible’ braces and appliances a huge range of orthodontic issues can be treated while still allowing patients to look and feel great. The end result is achieved but the photos from holidays during treatment will only show the massive improvement, not the braces!
With new technologies and the increased use of social media, photos are now an essential when going on holiday. Friends and family want to see what you have been up to and the patient will also want to share where they have been.
Too many patients are unaware of the advances in cosmetic dentistry and still believe the only way to achieve their ideal smile is through fixed orthodontics. They need to be told that systems such as Clearstep are available to help make patients holiday preparations that much better.

How The Royal Wedding Has Effected Orthodontics

2 Billion people tuned in to witness what is likely to be the wedding of the decade. Those attending, politicians, royals and celebrities all knew the world would be watching. This would be a daunting thought for even the most self-assured ‘A lister’. Image would be everything.
However while a national celebration, the royal wedding also highlighted the ever rising market in cosmetics and beauty. An emerging field in this booming market is invisible orthodontics. A visit to the dentist’s is no longer a twice a year headache with the image conscious looking to achieve the smile that matches their style.
Undoubtedly this is great news for orthodontists but general practitioners will also know that this is going to be beneficial for practices nationwide. Invisible braces and systems does not only enable a patient to achieve remarkable results whilst still knowing they look great, they have the ability to keep patients in the chairs of the dentist they know and trust. Relationships and profits grow with patients seeing noticeable results throughout.
Thousands of pounds were spent on dresses for William and Kate’s big day, dresses that will be worn and forgotten, yet your patient for that same cost could have a lifelong smile that beautiful teeth bring. For many the cost of modern treatment techniques were too much to consider but as the market grows, the capacity of general practices to offer astonishing treatment at a cost effective price increases.
Clearstep provides an effective system for clinicians by clinicians at a competitive price. All cases are expertly examined by one of our experienced orthodontists guaranteeing accurate reports. This is why the company is a rapidly developing presence in the market. Aiding a practice and its members to provide the highest quality service to its clients is of top priority as they understand the importance of your patient’s needs.
With the success of the wedding there will certainly be an increase in patients and with the huge capability of companies such as Clearstep the market is on course for further expansion. A Celebrity smile is no longer just for the rich and famous.
Looking at the elegant and handsome guests of the wedding it was clear to see who was confident in their appearance and these new, innovative systems are a perfect avenue for your patients to find that confidence.

A Very Successful Dentistry Show 2011

A Very Successful Dentistry Show 2011

The Clearstep team have recently come off the back of a successful time at the Dentistry show in Birmingham. This year Clearstep went into the show with a theme of service, support & education using the opportunity in hand to showcase the Clearstep complimentary online accreditation service as well as the newly introduced Enhance Sectional Fixed Appliances course which is presented by Dr Andrew McCance (Chairman & Founder of Clearstep).
The general feeling throughout the show was that the vast majority of attendees where members of the dental industry who have an active interest in the advancement of the industry and are seeking new ways to improve themselves as well as their practice. Clearstep therefore received a lot of interest due to the ever increasing popularity towards ‘invisible’ orthodontics from both practitioners and patients.
Throughout the show, the Clearstep team consisted of a team of nine who represented the company from many different disciplines within the organisation. From chief technicians to account managers all members of the Clearstep staff who attended the show were in hand to provide the attendees with the in depth information that they where looking for thus keeping with the theme of the show.
As much as the attendance of Clearstep at the Dentistry Show 2011 was about gaining new practitioners, it was also about building relationships with our current Clearstep practitioners. The show was also a great opportunity for the existing Clearstep practitioners to meet their account managers in person. The account managers are the point of contact for each Clearstep practitioner and help deal with any day to day enquiries involving Clearstep. The show helped us to gather some value feedback which has now been noted and acted upon to make sure that we maintain the highest level of service at all times.
Clearsteps Business Development Manager Jamie Patterson was spearheading the Clearstep Team during the show and had this to say about the participation of Clearstep at the Dentistry Show 2011:
“The Dentistry show was a great success and represents a fantastic opportunity for Clearstep to get further insight to our GDP partner’s needs. Our friendly team of relationship managers, technicians  and customer service advisors spent the two days educating as to the benefits of the Clearstep System and finding out how we can further our customer service proposition to our Clearstep Partners. We were met with an overwhelming response, particularly to our further educational courses and free online accreditation package. Over the two days we gained a further 150 new dentists and received valuable feedback about how we can evolve our business processes over and above to what we have done already.
As a direct result of the feedback we received we have since taken the steps to amend our Diagnostic process’ as well as introduce money saving package deals which give our practitioners the ability to fix their Clearstep lab fees irrespective of severity. We are relishing the opportunity of attending the Dentistry show next year and can’t wait for our next exhibition.”
March also saw the coming of the eagerly anticipated IDS exhibition in Cologne. Whilst Clearstep didn’t have a stand this year, Clearstep Managing Director Mr Alistair McCance presented to a full crowd on the advancements Clearstep have pioneered with regards our manufacturing base. Such advancements have resulted in a reduction in turnaround time from twenty to fifteen days! A 5 day reduction in manufacture time is a huge step forward for us as a company as we strive towards reducing waiting times on treatment even further in accordance with both patient and practitioner need. With further advancements to come the future looks great and I would ask all of our practitioner colleagues to keep feeding back on how we can make our system better. Your views are vitally important and I promise we take on everything you say when implementing change.  Thank you to all at IDS for being so accommodating! A Fantastic show and well worth a visit to those practitioners who want to find out what is cutting edge in the market at present.
